What The Park'ɴNest Approval Process Actually Looks Like For Your Board

July 2026 • 3 min read • By: The Park’ɴNest Team

Most amenity proposals stall before a Board vote happens, and it is rarely the amenity itself that is the problem. It is everything the approval requires: multiple reviews, contractor bids, a construction timeline nobody can guarantee, and a capital expenditure the board has to justify to residents who will ask hard questions about cost.

Park’ɴNest is a freestanding overhead storage locker positioned directly above each resident’s assigned parking space, and it was designed specifically to remove that entire category of difficulty. Because the locker requires no structural modifications of any kind, the board is not approving a construction project or signing off on work to common elements. It is approving a locker that goes into an existing parking space, professionally installed, with nothing altered about the building itself.

Before The Board Commits To Anything

Even with the construction question off the table, boards tend to hesitate over one thing: approving something residents have never seen in person. That is what the Complimentary Nest Program solves. Rather than asking a board to approve storage lockers building-wide from a spec sheet, we install one locker in your garage at no cost and no obligation so the board and residents can see it, open it, and experience it in your actual garage before anything further is decided. If the building chooses not to move forward, the locker is removed, nothing is left behind, and there is no cost either way.

The locker is already in the garage before residents ever have to imagine it.

The 45-Day Path From Approval To Installed Lockers

Within the first week after approval, one full-size locker is installed in the garage and residents are notified that the program has begun. The resident portal opens at the same time so anyone interested can reserve a locker immediately. Throughout weeks one through five, postcards, signage, and email content go out through whatever channels your building already uses to keep the program visible everywhere residents look. We hold a live Meet the Nest event at the demo locker where a Park’ɴNest representative walks residents through it in person and answers any questions. Residents tend to trust what they can open with their own hands more than anything on a printed page. Standing in front of the locker is the fastest way to understand what 88 cubic feet actually feels like.

White-Glove installation of the lockers is phased so the garage never stops functioning normally. The building ends up with a premium amenity its residents reserved for themselves and a garage that reflects the standard the building was built to maintain.
